"Mere words cannot describe the full benefits of taking Reformer Pilates classes. I am sailing through my fourth session (of 6 classes). I must say that I started feeling the benefits and positive changes in my body after my second class, possibly even after my first! No other form of exercise has provided me with such a marked improvement in muscle strength and flexibility in such a short period of time. I have become much aware of what my body is doing than ever before. This increase in in awareness remains at all times. "I have been a Member at Sturgeon Valley for sometime now and have taken many different classes that have been offered. Out of the classes that I have taken Pilates Reformer has been one of the best! Although I know the benefits of stretching, I am a person who is impatient and doesn't really enjoy it. I seem to run out of time to stretch when I am at the gym, and when I get home I am just too busy and it slips my mind. The class not only works my muscles in a different way than cardio and weight training, it stretches my body at the same time. The Pilates Reformer class has helped ease my constant lower back pain and tight leg muscles; it gives me an entire body workout and it keeps my body guessing! My Instructor - Keri - is knowledgeable and due to the small class size, she is able to watch my form and correct me when necessary. She is also able to see my progress and assess when to increase the tension of the Reformer. She is able to individualize for each person in the class quickly.
