NEW Group Exercise Guidelines - Effective December 1st, 2016
Timeliness: Out of respect for your fellow Members and for safety reasons, all participants must be in the designated Studio a minimum of 5 minutes prior to the posted class start time. It is dangerous and disruptive to try and set up once a class has started.
Equipment cleaning: Class participants are responsible for sanitizing all equipment personally used in their class. Disinfectant bottles are available in all studios along with a basket of clean cloths and a basket for used cloths.
Equipment storage: Class participants are responsible for returning all equipment used in class back to its designated storage space.
Bike Mats: Must be placed under spin bikes during every class to protect the hard wood floor from perspiration.
Class Booking: Participants must register online or via the SVAC App for ALL Group Exercise classes. Please only book into classes for a reasonable time frame e.g. 2 weeks maximum at a time, to prevent No Shows if your schedule changes (see below). Please do not ask Instructors to “squeeze you into” a class – maximum attendance is set for participant safety and enjoyment.
Cancelling out of Classes: If you cannot attend a class that you were previously booked in for, please be courteous and considerate of your fellow Members and cancel out of the class with the maximum notice possible. We do not want classes to appear as if they are at capacity, yet have open spots come the start of the class, when others on the Waiting List have missed out. No Show, on a class with a waiting list = $20.00 fee on account; No Show, on a class without a waiting list = $10.00 fee on account; Late Cancel = $10.00 fee on account.
Group Exercise Feedback: If you have any comments or concerns about our Group Exercise program, please direct them to Chelsea Von Grat, SVAC Fitness Manager: firstname.lastname@example.org
Class Cancellation Policy: If there are 3 or less participants registered by 8:00pm the previous evening, the Fitness Manager has the ability to cancel the class in MBO. To avoid unnecessary cancellations, please PRE-REGISTER for your classes. If a class has only one person show up for the class, the Instructor can cancel the class if the participant does not want to take the class.
