2018 Spring Makeover Challenge
Official Start Date: Wednesday, May 2nd
How does the challenge work? Everyone will be assigned to a trainer’s group and the groups will compete against each other throughout the challenge. You can either be randomly assigned to a trainer’s group or request a certain trainer. You can make this challenge as self-motivated as you like or you can utilize our services to help you through the process and maximize your results. “Before” & “After” photos, measurements (chest, waist and hips) AND weigh-ins are required by ALL participants. Your team trainer is here to help you stay motivated and answer any fitness questions that you might have.
LAUNCH PARTY: Wednesday, May 2nd @ 7:30pm – 8:00pm
All results are kept confidential and are not displayed in the Club!
At the program launch, you must weigh-in and have your “Before” picture & measurements taken. Note: If for whatever reason you cannot make it to the program launch, you must be weighed in between April 20th—April 30th, unless otherwise arranged.
Official End Date: Wednesday, June 13th
All final photos/weigh-ins/measurements must be completed by: Wednesday, June 13th no exceptions, in order to calculate results.
The team with the greatest inches lost, per person, will be deemed the winning team (although everyone is a winner in our books!). Bragging rights go to the Personal Trainer with the winning team!
$225 of GRAND PRIZES to be won!!! Besides the health benefits and bragging rights, the winners of the Spring Makeover Challenge will be awarded a SVAC Gift Card. The winner from the 1st place team will receive $100, the winner from the 2nd place team will receive $75 and the winner from the 3rd place team will receive $50. The winners will be chosen by a panel of unbias judges/svac personnel. The decision will be based on a variety of factors ie. inches lost, before & after photos and general well-being.
Are there any criteria for entering the challenge? You should be in a position where you need to lose at least 10 pounds or more. Our intentions are that this challenge will help our clients reach for their best and not be an initiative that has a negative effect on self-esteem and body image. All of the expectations of the challenge are designed to improve overall health and fitness and are not short-term, quick-fixes. You will automatically be disqualified if caught utilizing any non-healthy techniques (i.e. extreme caloric deprivation, laxatives, diet pills, dehydration techniques etc) The benefit of this type of program is that it will provide you the guidance, motivation, and accountability to jump-start your program and help you shed any excess winter weight. Many clients experience amazing results during this challenge just because they know their team is counting on them. There’s nothing like good old fashioned peer pressure!

Flying Solo: I know what I need to do. Just let me weigh-in/take measurements/photos and I’m good to go. The competition is all I need to keep me going. Cost: $59+gst. (10% NM surcharge is applicable)
All-In: Can you please provide me with 3 Personal Training Sessions to help get me started. I would also like weekly check-ins with my trainer to receive feedback and keep me on track! Cost: $299+gst (10% as above)
Newbie: I’m new around here and this will be a great opportunity to get me started on a trial membership. Please provide me with a Club membership during the challenge in addition to 3 Personal Training Sessions and weekly check-ins. Cost: $379+gst (NonMember surcharge does not apply; 45% membership discount!)

The Hungry Hungry Hupty's – Josh H. Are you confused as to what is real and what is fake when it comes to fitness and nutrition? One side says "You have to do Keto to lose weight" the other side says "No fats are bad for you". It can get really confusing with all the information that is spouted on the internet. My goal is to shed light on all of these fallacy's and help you to not only lose weight but to keep it off. I want to show you that you don't have to deprive yourself of the foods you love to lose weight or have to say no to gatherings with friends and family because you're on a diet and don't want to ruin it. The most important piece of advice when picking a diet is if you can't see yourself on it in 10 years you shouldn't do it. So my goal is to show you a way to eat for the rest of your life not just for this challenge! Join my team and together we will lose weight while eating pizza and drinking beer (in moderation of course :D)!"

In a weight loss journey, nutrition is worth 70%, if you join my team, you will have a nutritionist on your side.
